The fuel facility at the Edmonton International Airport (YEG) consists of a jet fuel storage tank farm, underground jet fuel hydrant system, and gasoline and diesel storage and distribution facilities. In 2009, the Edmonton Regional Airports Authority began a three-year terminal development program which resulted in eighteen new aircraft gates. The jet fuel infrastructure was expanded in conjunction with the development program.
Services at the airport are provided by the Canadian Fuel Consortia, and include facility administration, into-plane fuelling and tank farm management. Jet fuel is delivered into the tank farm by tanker truck, and is distributed to aircraft gates through the hydrant system. Approximately 44,000 flights are fuelled annually at the airport.
